Aster’s core offering revolves around decentralized perpetual trading, operating with a non-custodial model that ensures users retain control over their assets. The platform aggregates liquidity from various blockchains, enabling users to execute trades without the need to bridge assets or switch networks manually. This cross-chain liquidity aggregation is a cornerstone of Aster’s infrastructure, aiming to provide deep liquidity and optimal pricing across different networks. 
To cater to a diverse user base, Aster offers two distinct trading interfaces: Simple Mode and Pro Mode. Simple Mode is designed for streamlined, one-click trading, offering leverage options up to 1001x. This mode is MEV-resistant and suitable for users who prefer a simplified interface without detailed charts, available on networks such as BNB Chain and Arbitrum. Pro Mode, on the other hand, provides an advanced order book interface with real-time data, various order types, and sophisticated trading tools, catering to experienced traders. Pro Mode is accessible on networks including BNB Chain, Ethereum, and Solana.
Beyond trading, Aster incorporates yield-generating products inherited from Astherus under the Aster Earn section. These products allow users to stake various assets, including BNB, USDT, BTC, and CAKE, to earn yields up to 30% APY. Supported assets for staking include the BNB liquid staking derivative asBNB and the yield-bearing stablecoin USDF. Users can also mint pool tokens with assets like USDT and BNB to earn passively and increase their chances for future airdrops. 
Aster’s commitment to decentralization and community involvement is evident through its AIPs (Aster Improvement Proposals), allowing stakeholders to propose and vote on network upgrades and changes. Additionally, the platform has introduced the Rh Points Program, where traders earn points redeemable for future airdrops, and a referral program offering commissions on referred trading activity. 
In terms of technological advancements, Aster is building toward the launch of its own Layer 1 blockchain, optimized for trading performance. This development aims to introduce Aster-native blockchain explorers to bring transparency and insight to on-chain trading activity. The platform also plans to integrate zero-knowledge proofs and intent-based architecture to simplify the DeFi trading experience further.   
Aster’s security measures include a bug bounty program hosted on Immunefi, offering rewards up to $200,000 for critical vulnerabilities. This initiative underscores the platform’s dedication to maintaining a secure trading environment for its users. 
As of June 2025, Aster reported cumulative statistics including over $408 billion in total trading volume, 840,000 users, $259 million in open interest, and $341 million in Total Value Locked (TVL). These figures highlight Aster’s rapid growth and its position within the multi-billion-dollar decentralized perpetual trading market.
The platform’s native token, AST, is set to replace the previous APX token, with the token listing planned for a future date. AST will play a central role in the ecosystem, serving as a utility token for various functions within the Aster platform.
