Launched globally on January 31, 2024, the game combines elements of traditiona…l base-building strategy games with Web3 technologies, offering players an immersive experience where they can build bases, train armies, and engage in battles to earn in-game resources and cryptocurrencies. 
Set on the fictional island of Mavia, players are tasked with constructing and upgrading their bases, deploying troops, and raiding enemy territories to collect resources such as Gold, Oil, and the in-game currency, Ruby. The game introduces a dual-token economy comprising Ruby, used for in-game transactions and rewards, and MAVIA, the governance token that allows holders to participate in decision-making processes and access premium features.  
In February 2024, Skrice Studios launched the MAVIA token on the Ethereum blockchain, accompanied by a significant airdrop to 100,000 players and holders of Ethereum-based NFT land plots within the game. This move aimed to incentivize early adoption and foster a robust community around the game’s ecosystem. 
To enhance the trading experience, Heroes of Mavia introduced the Ruby Marketplace in May 2024, allowing players to trade in-game assets using Ruby. This marketplace was later expanded with a web-based version in September 2024, powered by the Base network, facilitating browser-based trading and integration with external wallets.  
June 2024 marked the launch of Phase 2: Next Frontier, a significant update that introduced new features such as an integrated Web3 marketplace, Ruby staking, liquidity pools, and player-versus-player (PvP) battles. These additions aimed to deepen player engagement and expand the game’s economic ecosystem.  
In April 2025, the game underwent a major transition with the migration from Ruby 1.0 to Ruby 2.0, a move designed to enhance the currency’s utility and liquidity across the ecosystem. This update was part of a broader roadmap that included the development of Nexira DAEP (Digital Asset Exchange Platform), aiming to integrate multiple games and expand the utility of in-game assets beyond Heroes of Mavia.  
The game’s 2025 roadmap outlines ambitious plans, including the introduction of new gameplay features such as weekly tournaments, seasonal events, and the launch of NFT crafting and land trading functionalities. These developments are intended to diversify player interactions and economic opportunities within the game’s universe.  
Heroes of Mavia’s innovative approach to integrating blockchain technology with mobile gaming has garnered significant attention, achieving over one million downloads shortly after its launch.
